About Me

I identify myself as an engineer. In 2009-2011, I’ve co-founded several Internet startups, such as Ikon and Hadoko, for the fun of it. A big fan of open-source project, I contribute themes to PeoplePods php framework. I was born and raised in Selangor, Malaysia. In 2012, I started tinkering with an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) under the classification of quadcopter, which later put me on stage of schools, PETROSAINS, Pusat Sains Negara and many places to share the knowledge.

My publications spanning across multiple disciplines, under the theme of Design Optimization. It can be ship design, unmanned underwater design, unmanned rover and aerial vehicle. My full list of publications can be viewed here.

At the age of 28, I obtained PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the UNSW@ADFA, Australia. Currently I live in Terengganu with my wife and son, where I teach and conduct research in Universiti Malaysia Terengganu. I’ve authored and co-authored a number of research papers on ship design optimization, underwater robotics and shape representation and keeps meaning to write more.
