Definitions of International Double, Multiple and Joint Degree Programmes

Double or multiple degree: Two (double) or more (multiple) national diplomas issued by two or more higher education institutions in different countries and recognized officially in those countries where the degree-awarding institutions are located.

Joint degree: A single diploma issued by at least two higher education institutions in different countries offering an integrated programme and recognized officially in those countries where the degree-awarding institutions are located.
